A Simpler Life
-Selling unneeded things can be a great way to earn quick cash. You’d be shocked at how much we have sitting around the house. Take photos of your items with quality lighting and post to places like Facebook marketplace, eBay, or have a yard sale. Pawn shops although quick cash, will give you bare minimum!
-Be sure to check your phone/email subscriptions, keep up with free trials. I cannot tell you how fast those costs pile up, especially when you forget you’re subscribed to things.
-Call all of your bill companies and try to get better rates, tell them you must cut down! Be kind but be firm and honest about your finances, most of the time they will cut your payment and or give you special breaks and deals.
-Cook from scratch and build your meals around your budget. What’s on sale? Our family ONLY shops sales, we nearly never pay full price for anything. Every store has a clearance section, they’re normally hidden in some weird corner.
-Canning & Preserving food can make a huge difference in your families food preparedness! Even if you are buying hamburger on sale, portioning and freezing as patties. It makes such a difference in the budget
-Don’t be afraid to use local resources like food pantries, resale shops, and discount grocers. Put the pride aside and remember that you pay taxes! These places were created for those who are in need. My family has used the food pantry many times, and it’s helped tremendously.
-Have you ever heard of flipping? Did you know that you can snag some of the marketplace, yard sale deals, fix them up and resell? I know people who’ve been able to pay off so much debt by doing this.
-Do you have houseplants, or perennials? Propagating plants is a simple but tedious process, it takes time, but can be beyond worth it during spring! I’ve propagated so many plants and sold them during the gardening season. I’ve also started plants from seed and made well over triple what it cost for me to start them. YouTube can teach you all of the tips!
-Have you been hoarding books? Why not create bundles to sell! Parents are looking for Good reads for their kids, and sometimes for themselves. Separate by age and reading level, then bundle them up for sale.
-Have you gone through your children’s clothes yet? Do the same thing, bundle them up by sizes, brands, quality etc, and throw them on marketplace.
-Have you considered donating Plasma ? This is will depend on your health, because it’s a bit of a process. But a weekly donation, can make for a consistent income, plus help others.
-Are you crafty? Make your small hobby a side business! It’s fall, make house decor holiday themed, and get that business going.
-Do you have poultry? Did you know you can hatch out eggs and move chicks for $3 plus each. The homestead community is always looking for poultry, especially if the breeds are heritage.
-Child Care! Unfortunately we live in a two income country, so many people are in need of child care for little ones, if you love children and feel the call, I would highly recommend becoming a nursery worker at a business, a home sitter, or even a part time nanny. This isn’t for everyone, but the income not only helps you, but the help is much appreciated to the parents.
-An online influencer! YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms will pay you for your time as a person who makes a difference on their platforms. This may take some time, but the monthly pay will help. See YouTube videos about becoming an influencer.
In all things always PRAY and be spirit led.
