I never saw meat as an animal, or veggies as things that grew. I saw the grocery store or the fast food chain as the norm. Same with skincare, I remember my mom having 100s of

I never saw meat as an animal, or veggies as things that grew. I saw the grocery store or the fast food chain as the norm. Same with skincare, I remember my mom having 100s of different products on her vanity, I never thought twice about what was in our face wash. As a 31 year old women, I now have more knowledge, and so I want to be sure to share it with you.

Through reading and research I've fallen in love with growing and preserving herbs, creating soaps, salves, and other natural body care, along with growing, raising and preserving my families food. My latest and most favorite way to relax has been making Soap! I’ve been using unrefined butters, my infused oils, and lovely natural clays and spices for color.

When we moved into our first home, the first thing we noticed was the property. 1/2 acre! Wow! We were blown away at the thought of having a place to grow our food, and raise our own chickens. I never in a million years would have thought that we’d be recording our journey on social media. That is until I started getting a lot of questions from family about what we were growing and how we were growing it. One day I woke up and just started filming, then I decided to hit post on my YouTube account. We started our “BrookTrott Homestead” and after a year of that, I felt that it was time to publically glorify the Lord with a new name change. I wanted a place that everyone in the family could learn, and enjoy. Clean footage for the entire family!
